“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.”

Therapist Portland Primary Practice

ecotherapy

I offer limited “walk and talk” outdoor therapy sessions at Cooper Mountain Nature Park in Beaverton. While these sessions include multiple facets of my therapy approach, the move to an outdoor environment is based on my education in ecopsychology and the practice of ecotherapy.

This field of therapy explores our interconnected relationship with the more-than-human world, and how our direct sensorial experience within nature can foster insight and healing for a myriad of mental health concerns. For those interested, please contact me or inquire during the initial office consultation.

fees

Therapy sessions (office and teletherapy) are 55 minutes and the fee is $175 per session.

Acceptable forms of payment are credit card or Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards.

A limited number of lower fee appointments are available, based on need.

At this time, I am not an in-network provider on insurance panels. I can provide an invoice (referred to as a superbill) to be submitted to your insurance company for potential out of pocket reimbursement, but you will want to confirm with your provider out-of-network coverage and the limits on reimbursement (percentages, impacts of deductible, etc.)

equine-facilitated psychotherapy

I offer equine-facilitated psychotherapy (EFP) sessions to adolescents and adults on Fridays at a rural location in the Bald Peak area of Hillsboro, about 15 minutes west of Beaverton. The fee for a 55-minute session is $125.

Therapy sessions at this facility (with a lighted, covered arena) incorporate equines as equal partners in a trauma-focused relational and experiential approach. For more details check out the Equine Therapy page.
