Therapist Portland Primary Practice

I offer “walk and talk” outdoor therapy sessions along the Willamette River Greenway Trail, adjacent to my office location. While these sessions include multiple facets of my therapy approach, the move to an outdoor environment is based on my Lewis & Clark education in ecopsychology and the practice of ecotherapy.

This field of therapy explores our interconnected relationship with the more-than-human world, and how our direct sensorial experience within nature can foster insight and healing for a myriad of mental health concerns. For those interested, please contact me or inquire during the initial office consultation.

All Portland therapy sessions (office and outdoor based) and Hillsboro (equine therapy) sessions are typically 55 minutes long and the fee is $100 per session for individuals and $140 for couples.

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, credit card, Zelle (bank to bank transfer), or Health Savings Accounts (HSA).

A limited number of lower fee appointments are available, based on need.

At this time, I am not an in-network provider on insurance panels. I can provide a reimbursement invoice to be submitted to your insurance company, but you will want to confirm with your provider out-of-network coverage.

equine-facilitated psychotherapy

I offer equine-facilitated psychotherapy (EFP) sessions on Fridays at a rural location in the Bald Peak area of Hillsboro, about 30 minutes west of the 217 and SW Farmington Road (Hwy 10) interchange.

Therapy sessions at this facility (with a lighted, covered arena) incorporate equines as equal partners in a trauma-focused relational and experiential approach. For more details check out the Equine Therapy page.
